Matt and his team at Blackwood Homes did a wonderful job renovating our cottage in Muskoka. What was once a dark and outdated cottage is now a light and bright beautifully renovated summer home. They were a pleasure to work with and we’d highly recommend them. We even contacted them a year later to do more renovations for us.

We met Matt when he was doing a major renovation to a house in our neighborhood. He readily showed us his work and we were impressed enough to hire him for our bathroom renovation. 

Matt gave us a quote and a timeline and from there everything worked well. The plumber, electrician, and tiler were here on time, the work was completed in the time specified and we were extremely happy with the results.

We have now hired Matt to renovate our family room. We are looking forward to the same professionalism and workmanship.

We hired Matt at Blackwood homes to do a basement renovation. His price was very fair for the amount of work that was required. Matt’s work ethic and attention to detail was impressive. He completed the work, coordinating the other trades when required. The work was completed on time and on budget. I am happy to say that Matt exceeded our expectations!

The Blackwood team provided unbelievable craftsmanship and very creative solutions for our recent kitchen renovation. Matt at Blackwood homes helped us design, built and installed our custom kitchen for our home renovation project. Matt had great input and insight when it came to the design/layout process of our kitchen and was timely when responding to our many questions and design “tweaks” that we had. He provided digital renderings during the design process, that allowed us to get a good idea of how the final kitchen and space would turn out to ensure we ended up with a kitchen we loved. During the install he was great to coordinate with and always kept a clean and tidy work environment throughout the process. The final product speaks for itself and we couldn’t be happier, we would highly recommend Matt and Blackwood homes for your project and if we ever need another kitchen we’ll be coming back to Matt!
